The police on Thursday, charged three men before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, over alleged breach of peace.

The defendants are: Sani Isyanku, 22; Adeyemi Emmanuel, 28; and Owoeye Olumide, 31.

The trio whose addresses were not stated, are standing trial on charges bordering on breach of peace and constituting public nuisance

They, each, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor,ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on July 4, at about 1:00 p.m., in Ado-Ekiti.

Oriyomi alleged that the defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace and also constituted public nuisance.

He said the offences contravene the provisions of section 181(1)(d) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Mrs Adunni Olamipekun, urged the court to grant the defendants bail, with a promise that they would not jump bail.

The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adosun granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each, with one surety each in like sum.

He adjourned the case until Aug 11, for hearing.(www.primerisenews.com)
