YOWICAN celebrates peace ambassador Seyi Tinubu at 41

The National Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) has congratulated its National Peace Ambassador, Seyi Tinubu, on his 41st birthday.

YOWICAN described Tinubu, who is also the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, as an outstanding youth advocate, philanthropist and nation builder.

The association said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja by its National Chairman, Ven. Arowolo Ademola Daniel and National Secretary, Nehemiah Nanmwa Michael.

The statement said Tinubu, born on Oct. 13, 1985, has distinguished himself through commitment to youth empowerment, social development and national unity.

It said his passion for national unity continues to inspire millions of young Nigerians across faiths and ethnic divides.

YOWICAN recalled that Tinubu was honoured with its National Peace Ambassador Award for his contributions to peace building and youth development.

According to the association, the ideals exemplified by Tinubu align with its vision of promoting interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.

It said Tinubu has consistently supported initiatives that promote peace, leadership, community development and advancement of young people.

The youth wing said his role as Peace Ambassador has strengthened its bridge-building efforts between Christian and Muslim youths.

YOWICAN also announced plans to commence zonal engagements under its National Christian-Muslim Youth Peace Accord Movement.

It said the South-West Zonal Peace Accord Summit and Dialogue, scheduled from Oct. 28 to Oct. 30, would serve as official kick-off of the nationwide campaign.

It explained that the campaign is designed to strengthen interfaith harmony, peaceful coexistence and national unity among Nigerian youths.

The association said the movement would mobilise young people across the six geopolitical zones toward building a more peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

It prayed that Tinubu’s passion for empowering the next generation and fostering unity would continue to yield lasting benefits for the nation.

“Congratulations once again, and happy birthday to a remarkable son of Yorubaland, a bridge builder, a youth advocate, and a champion of peace,” the statement said. (NAN)
