The family of veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has announced his death at the age of 66.<\/p>\n

The family announced his passing on Sunday in a statement shared on social media.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWith total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the family of Alhaji Taiwo Hassan Ogogo announces his passing today, 23rd August, 2026,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The family prayed for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and for Allah to grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The actor\u2019s death came days after his family disclosed that he was battling stage-four cancer and appealed for medical assistance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The family said the deceased would be buried according to Islamic rites on Monday.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It stated that the burial would take place at the Pavilion, Ilaro, Ogun.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
Taiwo Hassan was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, with a career spanning several decades as an actor, filmmaker and director.<\/p>\n
