Ademola Adeleke of Osun to stop dragging President Tinubu into the state forthcoming election.

Imumolen in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja advised Adeleke to take full responsibility for his administrative performance rather than attributing blame to external forces or the federal leadership.

He said that the electorate in Osun were ready to vote out Adeleke over alleged poor performance in office.

He claimed that feedback gathered across the state revealed voters’ dissatisfaction with the current administration of the state

He described Osun voters as politically sophisticated citizens who would prioritise governance, accountability, and concrete performance over “political theatricals” at the ballot box.

Imumolen alleged that the Adeleke-led government had failed to deliver tangible development across key sectors, in spite of receiving substantial statutory allocations monthly from the Federal Government.

“The lack of visible progress across crucial sectors is a clear testament to an administration that has completely lost its focus,” he said.

According to Imumolen, Adeleke must leave President Bola Tinubu out of his self-inflicted political challenges, as the state’s federal revenues have not translated into visible progress for the populace.

He added that internal party assessments and independent poll data indicate a sharp decline in the governor’s political popularity across the state.

“Opinion polls at our disposal have clearly shown that Gov. Adeleke cannot scale through the election of Aug. 15.

“Our party had earlier charged Gov. Adeleke to take governance and performance seriously, but he consistently failed to heed our warnings. Now, the consequences of that negligence are catching up with him,” Imumolen stated.

Reacting to recent allegations from the governor’s camp regarding potential electoral malpractice, the Accord Party chairman dismissed the claims as a cover for an impending electoral defeat.

He emphasised that allegations of planned rigging were baseless and designed to divert public attention from performance rating issues.

“Now that the people have concluded to vote him out, he is suddenly shouting rigging. Let it be known that nobody is planning to rig you out.

“The voters of Osun are simply ready to hold you accountable for your woeful performance, and they will use their constitutional power to elect leadership that genuinely serves them,” Imumolen said

The factional National Chairman of the Accord Party, Prof. Chris Imumolen, has advised Gov.
