The President of the Ugwumba Leadership Centre for Africa, Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has been honoured with an outstanding leadership award by the City of East Orange, New Jersey, United States.<\/p>\n

Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to the former Governor of Imo State, disclosed this in a statement on Friday following a high-level meeting with the Mayor of East Orange, Mr. Ted Green.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He noted that the visit marked the official inauguration of a strategic partnership between the U.S. city and the Ugwumba Centre in Imo State, Nigeria.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to Nwosu, the collaboration, which will be coordinated by the Ugwumba Centre for Leadership, is aimed at advancing leadership, human capacity development, and sustainable socio-economic progress for youth and communities across both regions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I had the honour of being received by the Mayor of East Orange, Mayor Ted Green, in a meeting that marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between the City of East Orange, New Jersey and Ugwumba Center, Nigeria.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“This important collaboration is aimed at advancing leadership, human capacity development, and sustainable progress for our people,” Nwosu said.<\/p>\n

Expressing appreciation for the recognition, Nwosu revealed that he was decorated with the official City Pin by Mayor Green in acknowledgment of his contributions to youth empowerment and governance.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The former gubernatorial candidate stated that the award serves as a continuous call to service to drive transformative leadership across the African continent.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I am deeply humbled to have received the City of East Orange\u2019s Award for Outstanding Leadership and Human Capacity Development and to have been decorated with the official City Pin by Mayor Ted Green.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I sincerely appreciate this recognition and the warm hospitality extended to my team,” he added.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nwosu listed members of his delegation at the strategic meeting to include Engr. Kings Umege, Sir Ewhoma Tony Okpokparoro (Oilmoney), Prince Anozie Ugenyi and Engr. Kizito Umege.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He expressed confidence that the partnership would yield long-term benefits and foster cross-continental synergy between Nigeria and the United States.<\/p>\n
