Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Director-General, has assured that traditional leaders and political stakeholders will be carried along in the party\u2019s campaigns for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, Yari said this after meeting with the Emirs of Gwandu, Katsina, Daura and Zaria as he continued his nationwide consultations with traditional rulers ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Yari had on Sunday, led a delegation to a meeting with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the royal visits form part of a broader consultative tour to traditional and political leaders across the country as the council build consensus and galvanises support for Tinubu\u2019s re-election.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Yari reaffirmed that the council\u2019s engagement with traditional institutions was a cornerstone of its consultative strategy ahead of the 2027 presidential election fixed for January 16.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said the visits was not to solicit political endorsement, but to seek the prayers, blessings, and wise counsel of royal fathers, whose moral and spiritual guidance remained indispensable to the country\u2019s political process.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He assured traditional rulers across the country of the council\u2019s respect, noting their pivotal role in fostering peace, unity, and stability.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Yari who represents Zamfara west, added that the APC and the PCC remained committed to carrying all stakeholders along in the build-up to the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to the statement, on Yari\u2019s entourage were former Borno Governor, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff, former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje and former Kebbi Governor, Sen. Adamu Aliero.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Others are former Zamfara Governor, Sen. Sani Yarima, former Sokoto State Governor,Sen. Aliyu Wamakko, former Gombe Governor, Sen. Muhammad Goje and former Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shehu, amongst others.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The statement added that the royal fathers in their individual palaces, offered prayers and blessings for peace, unity, and the success of the nation\u2019s democratic journey.<\/p>\n
