Presidential Candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Dr Esther Okereke, says she is not intimidated by the incumbent, President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi or any \u2018heavyweight\u2019 candidates on the ballot for the 2027 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Okereke stated this during the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Personality Interview Series in Abuja on Sunday.<\/p>\n

She \u200b\u200c\u200c\u200d\u2060\u2060\u200b\u200d\u2060\u2060\u200d\u200b\u200c\u2060\u200c\u2060\u2060\u2060\u200c\u200c\u200bexpressed confidence in her capacity and party\u2019s vision to rebuild the country.<\/p>\n

The female presidential candidate said that political credibility rested on clear governance blueprints rather than party size or political longevity.<\/p>\n

She said that NRM\u2019s symbol, the bee, reflects the party\u2019s core ideology of productivity, public service and national development.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, NRM, like you said, is small but mighty. You see our logo, the bee? It\u2019s an insect that produces.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy the party choose that, the size of the party and then the bee, is because we\u2019re here to produce and feed, not to devour and eat.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not about the party. It is the individual; it\u2019s the candidates that makes the party. Who knows Labour Party before Peter Obi?<\/p>\n

\u201cEven the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), even the All Progressives Congress (APC), it is the candidate that made up the publicity that gave them that big name that you just mentioned.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is how I\u2019m going to give that same big name to NRM,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

Okereke said that her decision to run on the NRM platform was driven by a shared commitment to accountability, structural reform and effective service delivery.<\/p>\n

She said that NRM has established a robust organisational network across all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 774 local government areas and over 176,000 polling units nationwide to mobilise voters.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t forget I am a humanitarian in politics. So, we have our structure too. We have coordinators starting from the 176,974 units, we have structure. In the whole 8,808 plus Abuja wards, we have structure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the whole state constituency, federal constituency, we have structures. In the whole 109 senatorial districts, we have structure. We are well-structured.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, it\u2019s only a system, and we have that system. All we need to do is lift this system and take it to Aso Rock, so it spreads.<\/p>\n
